Help reception decor ideas!!!!?

So I am getting married in June 09. We are prob using the penthouse at my fiance's company. The view is already beautiful but I want to transform it. There is going to be a tail reception and dancing. I was thinking of lounge and fun various seating styles, chairs and colored lighting (orange, cream......???) and maybe dd fabric on the ceiling or walls/wall. I am very crafty and would like to do all the decor and flowers myself ( with my team ; ) but I really dont know much about this area of decor. How would I secure things like fabric and paper lanterns without hurting the walls. Any Ideas???!?! Thanks in advance.
