preliminarily geologic studies igned the following prior probabilities: p1 .50, p2:.20, p3:.30, what is the probability of finding oil? ... after drilling 200 feet on the first well, a soil test is made . the probabilities of finding the particular type of soil identified by the test are: p1=.20, p2=.02, p3=30. how should the firm interpret the soil test? what are the revised probabilities and what is the new probabilities of finding oil. please help me in solving this. thank you.
